British Motorcar

[ Original 18.5" x 13.5" - Acrylic on Marble Slab ]

In the 1960s and 70s, the independent repair and parts shop specializing in British sports cars in America was a common sight. Here, the happy nose of an Austin Healey Sprite mk. 1 can be seen (along with the profile of an MGA) in front of an old stone garage that seems to emerge out of the natural veining of the marble slab. Standing at curbside with the honor of serving these cars is the Art Deco-inspired Erie gas pump.
