Phil Pokorny was selected to take on the challenge of creating a full service Animal Hospital out of an unwanted branch bank building located in the historical community of Bon Air, Virginia.

After extensive input from the Vets and Staff, Pokorny created a functional hospital layout while incorporating the existing structural columns and exit arrangement dictated by the bank building. The design takes advantage of what was once the bank’s drive-thru canopy to create a light filled lobby and reception area. Natural day lighting is guaranteed for exam rooms and animal boarding areas while the central core is reserved for treatment and lab functions.
