With stunning views of the Rocky Mountain back range; this project includes the design of centerpiece buildings for a 148-acre thoroughbred horse farm set in the plains of Boulder County, Colorado. The master plan and building designs were subject to an extensive review process by the local county building department. To control the perceived mass of the main house and meet strict height limitations, second floor rooms are contained within the roof structure. Shed dormers provide space and light to these rooms and form a rural feel for the building.
