Pairs of heavy Tuscan columns support a main floor porchthat wraps much of the home, providing protection from, as well as a connectionto, the outdoors. A graceful eyebrow rise in the porch roof serves to reinforcethe entrance identity. Clad in naturally weathering wood shingles, the Dutchgambrel roof gables are artfully arranged to create comfortable formal symmetries.
